Book your next service appointment online with The Bike Shop Central. We've created this item so you can book from the convenience of your home, office, car or trail side!

Note that this is an appointment reservation, with deposit, and all bikes are assessed at time of drop off.

Your initial inspection, which is completed for all service packages booked in, will include the following:

- Check frame for cracks or damage, derailleur hanger alignment, wheel alignment
- Hand-check spoke tension
- Test suspension for proper function
- Assessment of high-wear components (drivetrain, tires, brake pads, grips, etc.)
- Check for loose or worn bearings
- Test brake system
- Test shifting components function

Upon completion of drop-off inspection one of our techs will suggest the best value service package and appropriate parts required for you and your bike.

Schedule your next bike tune up appointment online!

  1. Select the next available date from the drop down menu
  2. Leave us a note in your order giving us a few details about your bike (make, model, year), any known issues and what you're trying to achieve (general tune, parts install, etc)
  3. Complete your transaction via our checkout process
  4. You will receive a standard order confirmation email
  5. Our staff will reach out to you once your order is processed and your deposit is applied to your work order to confirm your details and touch base.
  • Your bike will be assessed at the time of drop off using our Service Checklists.  Our aim is to give a complete and thorough assesment the first time around.
  • Please allow 20 minutes per bike at time of drop off so that our staff can give your bike the attention to detail it needs to be properly diagnosed and checked in for it's service.
  • Your Service Writer will work with you to select the most appropriate tune and parts for your bike's needs and your budget.

Here's some general guidelines on when to bring the bike in and what to expect.

  • Day before appointment - This is a great time to bring your bike in for it's assessment and leave it with us.  Remember to schedule a minimum of 20 minutes of your personal time for your bike assessment.
  • Day of appointment - This is when we expect to work on your bike and have scheduled mechanic time to do so.

Your appointment date is today, what to do?

  • If you haven't brought your bike in yet for it's assessment please do so as early in the day as possible.
    • Bikes dropped off before 12pm the day of the appointment will be worked on the same day with a targer completion of before the store closes that evening.
    • Bikes dropped off after 12pm the day of the appointment will be worked on as quickly as possible with a targer completion of before the store closes the following day of the appointment.

Have special requests for timing?

  • Let our staff know!  We can't help if you don't let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
  • Note that we can not accommodate all requests for specific timelines for pickup of bicycles.  

Note that purchase of this item is considered a "deposit" towards the appointment of any Tune Up at The Bike Shop Central. 

The value is based on our most popular tune "The Essentials".

After consulting with your Service Writer on the tune and parts needed for your bike your deposit can be applied to your order in several different manners:

  • For customers that select "The Essentials" or higher level of tune at the time of drop off the deposit will be applied to your tune up with remaining balances due at time of completion of your work order.
  • For customers that select labour skus valued at under $150 the deposit will be applied to the work order and any remaining funds upon completion of your work order will be fully refunded.

When creating your apponitment you selected two different variations:

  1. Day of appointment - The day your bike will be worked on.  As mentioned in "I made an appintment, what now" above please try to bring your bike in 24 hours prior to the appiontment date for it's assessment.
  2. Store Locatoin - This is the location where your appointment will be scheduled for.  We have 3 locations in the city of Calgary.  If you're uncertain which location will work best for your needs follow the links below and check out each location's address and proximity to you.

If you've forgotten which day you made your appointment check your email confirmation.  

You will receive a standard email confirming your order from our system when it's placed PLUS you will receive a secondary email from our staff when your order is processed.

This second email will confirm your date of appointment, where the appointment was made as well as give you a contact individual to reach out to if you have any further questions.

So you made an appointment and now you're shopping online for some parts or accessories you want installed on your bike.  That's great and super proactive of you! 

Shop our online catalogue for our greatest selection.  If you know the specs of what you need drop the item/s in your cart and head to the checkout.  You can make a single transaction with your appointment, parts & accessories you want to pick up or have installed or multiple transactions to add parts, accessories or even apparel if you want to add that and not miss a deal.

Leave us a note in your order on which items you want installed and what items you want to pick up individually.  We'll pick or order the parts and make sure they're ready for your appointment. 

Note for items that are "Available Online - Not Stocked in Retail Stores" the timeline for ordering parts/accessories will vary by vendor.  Feel free to email weborders@thebikeshop.com to see if we can get these on time for your appointment.
