The Bike Shop Calgary is an independently owned bicycle and accessories dealer that has been serving the Calgary area for over 30 years.  We are the largest multi-location independent bicycle dealer in Calgary.  We love cycling and love to share our passion for it with the vibrant cycling community around us.

Central

Primary Focus - Assembly of high-end bicycles 
Assigned to: Service department. Bicycle Assember: The timely assembly of bicycles in accordance to quality standards as set by dept. Reports to service manager.

 
  Responsibilities 
 

As a member of the service team you will be responsible for the assembly of bicycles. Responsibilities will include assembling multiple bikes daily to high store standards. We are looking for pro-active candidates who are self-motivated problem solvers. Previous work experience is an asset. Onsite training will be provided. Hours may include evenings and weekends. Tools are provided.

 
 

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of current cycling technology
  • Mechanical skill, and attention to detail
  • An interest in cycling
  • Strong ability to maintain focus
  • Comfortable communicating and acting within a team environment
  • The ability to work independently
  • Computer (retail point of sale), written, and communication skills
  • Time management/organization, the ability to make and meet deadlines

We provide initial on site industry based training. A successful candidate will further their knowledge about the cycling industry through personal initiative and industry standard training. Responsibilities also include: assisting in store operations by making positive recommendations for new products, price adjustments, and beneficial changes to store policy and procedure.
