Especially in off-road applications, such as enduro or motocross, the requirements on the sealing are very demanding. SKF has developed a range of seals with this in mind. Solutions are available for both off-road and on highway use. For motorcycles, the seals come in pairs with a separate oil seal and dirt wiper seal tuned to each other to give low friction for the best riding experience, as well as long life. Get the Eye to Eye and Stroke Measurements: If you are replacing a shock, find the old shock specifications from the manufacturers website. Using the part number of the shock you should be able to find it (most of the time). If that doesn't work and you have a Vernier Caliper (you probably don't) measure from the center of the top eye to the bottom eye. Do the same with Stroke but measure from where the rod goes into the shock body to where the eye starts on the rod. Again if you're lost call, email or message us. Starting with the stout and proven 36mm chassis of the modern day Bomber Z1, the new Z1 Coil retains the renowned Grip damper but swaps out the air spring assembly for the most advanced coil spring system Marzocchi has ever made. At the heart of this new coil system is an ultra-lightweight tempered silicon-chromium steel spring (available in 4 spring rates to suit a wide range of riders) coupled with a noise management system for near silent performance, an integrated air assist for progressivity and bottom out control, and an external preload adjuster to dial in sag and firmness off the top. Travel can easily be changed in 10mm increments from 150-180mm (depending on wheel size) via included reconfigurable internal spacers. ?Note the Z1 Coil comes with a medium coil installed.
