It's back!
It was first introduced on the 2006 Slayer, and was
found on later versions of the Slayer SXC and Slayer
SS. The design was then adapted to the popular
2008 Flatline, and then the Flatline WC models. Now,
it's back, and more refined than ever!
LC2R (Low Centre Counter Rotating) delivers ride
characteristics that balance kinematic variables to
achieve the legendary Rocky Mountain ride feel riders
have come to love. The mixture of a tuned blend
of anti-squat with a rate curve that is efficient and
supportive yet responsive, supple, and quiet provides
maximum traction, comfort and performance.
The RIDE-4 adjustment system allows riders to quickly fine-tune their
geometry with a single Allen key. Four configurations are possible
thanks to one rotating chip on each side. Riders should note that RIDE-4
positions are different on this platform than others.
Our Low Center Counter Rotating (LC2R) suspension aims to provide
maximum traction and comfort in more demanding terrain favoured by
aggressive riders. It features a tuned blend of anti-squat and rate curve
that is efficient and supportive yet supple and quiet. Our co-rotation
suspension design philosophy is centred on ride characteristics that
balances kinematic variables to achieve the legendary Rocky Mountain
ride feel.
SMOOTHWALL carbon uses one of the world’s most sophisticated carbon
processes to deliver industry leading stiffness-to-weight, ride quality, and
durability.
Size Specific Tune ensures that riders of all sizes get the right balance
of small-bump compliance, mid-stroke support, and end-stroke
progressiveness. Our design team sets custom shock tunes based on
real world field testing and adjusts each tune for specific frame sizes.
The latest Altitude carbon models now come with our new PenaltyBox
downtube storage that is capable of holding a water bottle with an
installed cage.
