Climb fast. Descend even faster. Purpose-built to hit the precise sweet spot between lightweight cross country climbing prowess and technical precision, the Element is the best of both worlds and more.
Designed to strike the perfect balance of lightweight efficiency and technical precision, the Element is the best of all worlds. Lighter than ever and with updated suspension kinematics, get ready to push the pace and drop the pack. Geometry and suspension that challenges the boundaries of modern cross-country riding, translates to total confidence on technical terrain and high speed singletrack.
Light. Stiff. Fast. Smooth. Precise.
Now you’re now in your Element—always.
Faster than the rest
Progressive geometry keeps us ahead of the pack with long,
low, and slack angles that confidently tackle any surprises
along the way.
Lighter than ever before
We tuned the frame design with an all-new carbon layup
and flex stay suspension design to save over 350g in
weight. Meanwhile we increased frame stiffness in key areas
to improve performance when on the gas.
Size-specific tune
Tuned for small-bump compliance, mid-stroke support, and
end stroke progressiveness. The Element features custom
shock tunes based on real world field testing.
RIDE-4™ adjustment system
Allows riders to quickly fine-tune their geometry with a
single Allen key.
Increased service life
Upgraded dual-row, high-capacity bearings at the seatstay
junction for increased service life.
XS: 27.5”: 142.5 - 157.5 cm / 4’8” - 5’2”
SM: 29”: 157.5 - 170 cm / 5’2” - 5’7”
MD: 29”: 167.5 - 177.5 cm / 5’6” - 5’10”
LG: 29”: 175 - 188 cm / 5’9” - 6’2”
XL: 29”: 185.5 - 198 cm / 6’1” - 6’6”
The RIDE-4 adjustment system allows riders to quickly fine-tune their geometry with a pair of Allen keys. Four configurations are possible thanks to one rotating chip. This allows for subtle geometry changes with minimal effect on your shock tune.
Geometry setup is a complex artform with huge variables in rider style, preference, terrain, and ability. We do recommend the use of professional services, but we also believe that learning to dial in your own bike is the best way to fully understand its performance.
When adjusting your RIDE-4 position, make gradual, incremental changes, take notes, and be methodical. Don’t adjust in a hurry before a big ride. Take your time and enjoy the process.
A new addition to the Element is the introduction of the Smoothlink SL Flex Pivot. By eliminating the traditional pivot, we’re not only able to shave weight, but also and increase stiffness in the rear triangle. Lighter and more refined, expect that same great ride quality of our traditional Smoothlink design that puts the Element ahead of its competitors.
Smoothwall carbon uses one of the world’s most sophisticated carbon processes to deliver industry leading stiffness-to-weight, ride quality, and durability. We eliminate excess resin and fibers by using rigid internal molds instead of traditional air bladders. We then utilize different types of carbon in specific frame areas to maximize stiffness and impact resistance while minimizing overall weight.
Size Specific Tune ensures that riders of all sizes get the right balance of small-bump compliance, mid-stroke support, and end-stroke progressiveness. Our design team does custom shock tunes based on real world field testing, and adjusts each tune for specific frame sizes.
