These SLS springs are a lighter weight steel spring option offered in addition to our standard steel springs. The new SLS springs from FOX are lighter than titanium springs at more affordable prices. A proprietary surface treatment and stress relief process removes residual stresses from the spring, allowing them to withstand higher stresses. Each spring is optimized by using a smaller wire diameter and fewer coils, creating a lighter spring. For 2019 FOX has developed a new line of SLS springs to optimize performance on all coil shock platforms including the newer metric and trunnion options. The feel of riding and durability are two decisive factors when designing seals for forks in motorcycles and bicycles. Especially in off-road applications, such as enduro or motocross, the requirements on the sealing are very demanding. SKF has developed a range of seals with this in mind. Solutions are available for both off-road and on highway use. For motorcycles, the seals come in pairs with a separate oil seal and dirt wiper seal tuned to each other to give low friction for the best riding experience, as well as long life. This graphite-rich compound creates a self-lubricating material which is both heat and abrasion resistant. ARI oil seals have been designed with a variety of lip profiles to make them longer lasting, while reducing friction to a minimum. Because a separating lubricant between the fork tube and the oil seal can reduce friction and increase wear life, ARI includes a packet of ARISIL with each seal kit. This is lube formulated as a rubber/metal lubricant for mechanical components used in the NASA space program.

The lightweight Kabolt Axle, inspired by Geoff Kabush through the RAD program, is now available for all Fox 15QR forks. The 100mm version is 40g lighter than the standard 15QR (54% weight savings). The Kabolt is compatible with all 15QR forks and installs with a 6mm hex tool. Not compatible with 2021 Fox forks.
