Free Shipping

  • Free Standard Ground shipping on orders exceeding $150 in value (before taxes).
  • Offer limited to website orders shipped Standard Ground within Canada, excluding NT, YT and NU.
  • Telephone orders do not qualify for free shipping (website only).
  • Orders must meet Canada Post size and weight restrictions (no dimension greater than 1m or weigh less than 30kg).  
  • Oversized items, such as bikes, and hazardous goods are not eligible for free shipping.
  • All Free Shipments are sent utilizing Canada Post Expedited Parcel Services.

Many of the product on our website is provided via a live feed from several of our supplier’s.  This allows us to offer you thousands more options than we can possibly offer within our three Calgary bricks and mortar locations.

Stock Status Labels

There are several different product status labels that you will see on our site.  Below is a breakdown to help you understand where the product you are interested in is located and what kind of lead times you will see associated with these products.

Please note these stock status labels are for lead times for the product to arrive in our building.  Standard shipment times based on your chosen shipping option and location apply to all orders after they have arrived in our building.

  • In Stock at Retail Store – This item is in one of our Bricks & Mortar locations.  We have 3 convenient locations within the city of Calgary for Pick Up.
  • Supplier Based Warehouses – Please note the timeframes involved are to allow for the ordering and shipment of the product from the supplier to our facility in Calgary.  Any times quoted for shipping to your location via the shipping methods are in addition to the time to get the product to our store.  Typical turnaround is 1-2 weeks before we have product in hand and ready for In-Store Pick-Up or shipment to your location.
    • Ships from Montreal – 3-5+ business days
    • Ships from Vancouver – 4 to 7+ business days
    • Ships from Ontario – 6-9+ business days
    • Ships from USA Warehouse – 9+ business days     

International Shipments

We love finding ways to get product into customer’s hands all over the world; however, there is no easy way to quote pricing for this so please email us with your inquiries and we would be happy to assist you in getting the product you are looking for.    

Rates are based on a minimum value of $35 plus extra charges based on the volumetric size of the package being shipped.  Orders going to international destinations are shipped by either Canada Post or FedEx.  Orders shipped outside of Canada are not charged Canadian taxes; however, all orders pass through customs and are subject to import duties, taxes, and custom processing fees. A customs invoice will arrive with your parcel or may follow in the mail. Recipients are responsible for paying these additional fees.

The Bike Shop is unable to provide estimates for customs fees. Check with your local customs office for more information.

Many international destinations are now receiving improved airmail service via Canada Post Xpresspost International. For countries and delivery times visit Canada Post.

Orders are sent via Canada Posts' Expedited Parcel service unless otherwise specified.  Most orders take one to two business days to process, in addition to the delivery times shown. Isolated and rural areas may take longer.

All shipments are processed using the most optimal shipping provider for your order and ship out from our Central  Location. We deliver to remote areas in Canada, however, please note that your order will ship via Ground Shipping and may take up to 20 days to arrive. Most orders will ship within 1–2 business days. Orders are subject to verification and approval before shipping and may take up to 48 hours to process. Though we do everything we can to ensure your order arrives on time, The Bike Shop cannot be held responsible for conditions beyond our control such as severe weather, service interruptions, etc. Orders are shipped on regular business days, Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays.

Split Shipments

We do not offer split shipment options at this time. Upon receipt of all of your items within our building your order will immediately be processed for shipment and you will be updated with tracking information.  If your order contains items coming from our suppliers, all items for your order must be received in either the store you selected for Pick Up In Store (Central, North or South) or our Central Location for shipped orders before your order will be processed and either set up for Pick Up In Store or shipped to you.

US Customers

Order shipped to the US may be processed via Canada Post, FedEx, Canpar Ground or DHL Express.  We endeavour to get your order to you as quickly as possible; however, border crossings and remote locations may create longer than average delivery times.  Average shipment time is 3-5 business days to the Contiguous US.  Outside the Contiguous US shipment times please add 3+ business days.

Back Orders

Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be back ordered. If this should occur, we will only bill your credit card for merchandise that is actually shipped. The total shipping charge for orders split into multiple shipments will not exceed the amount quoted on the original order.

Information Security

We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to "see" your transaction information. When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last five digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account.  We dislike answering the phone for a telemarketer and we’re pretty sure you do too so we make certain that all information you share with us is never sold or shared with anybody else.

Pick Up In Store

It's always free!  All of the items in our online catalogue are available to be either shipped to you or set up for free in store pick up at one of our 3 convenient locations in Calgary (Central, North or South).

When shopping our site you may notice the stock status label of "In Stock at Supplier".  This is a live data feed directly from our supplier’s warehouses, strategically located throughout Canada and the US, showing our customers exactly what is on hand both in our stores and at our suppliers.  When you place any of these items in your shopping cart you will be notified of where the item ships from plus the lead time to have the product available for pick up in our store.  

Here are a couple of things to note:

  • We will email you when your order is ready for pickup
    • Please allow up to 24 hours for order processing.
    • If you need your order the same day and have not yet received a confirmation email please call us and we will do our best to accommodate your timeline.
    • Head to our Sales Counter or engage any of our staff in helping you to pick up your order
    • Please come prepared with your order confirmation either in digital or printed format (on your phone is fine, please feel free to save a tree).
    • You will need to bring picture ID to pick up your order.
    • If you wish to have a family member, friend or relative to pick up your order please call or email us to make appropriate arrangements.

Please try to pick up your order within 7 business days or call our Online Customer Service Team to make alternate arrangements.  Orders not picked up within 30 days will be refunded back to you and returned to stock.

It’s our aim to provide a hassle free return service for you. If you’re not completely satisfied with an item, you may return it within 30 days from the date you pick up your order or the shipment date. Returned items must in new condition with accompanying receipt and packaging. Refunds will be issued back to you utilizing the same payment method you used to make your purchase with.

All clear-out and sale items are final sale and are not eligible to return.

How Do I Process a Return?

To process your return, you can either bring it to our store or ship the item(s) back to us. We recommend you always use a service that offers a tracking number (we are not responsible for items lost during shipment back to our store.  You are responsible for the return shipment costs and shipments sent via COD will not be accepted.

Merchandise returned that appears used will be subject to a restocking fee.  Labour is non-refundable.

Orders Damaged in Shipping

All of the items that we ship are in new and un-used condition unless otherwise stated in their online product description. If a package is delivered to you in damaged condition you have the option of refusing or accepting delivery. If you choose to accept the damaged product, please contact us immediately and we will arrange for return shipment of the damaged item(s). Please try and leave the product and package in its original form from when you received it. This will assist our claim submission to the shipping company. We will do our best to make sure you get a duplicate item(s) in un-damaged condition as quickly as possible (subject to availability).

Incorrect Product (Us)

In the unlikely event that you receive your order and there is product(s) that do not match your order confirmation, or there are products missing from your order, please contact us immediately and we will get you the right product (subject to availability) as quickly as possible and arrange for return shipment of the incorrect item(s).

Incorrect Order (You)

We understand that shopping online can often be confusing and mistakes happen, particularly when it only takes the click of a button and the order you were mulling over was suddenly submitted. If it happens that you accidently chose the wrong size, colour or product we will gladly accept returns on all products up to 30 days after the order was placed. In these situations, the buyer will be responsible for return shipping costs (refer to Returns & How Do I Process a Return above).
